Crandon Park Golf Course: This Dade County public golf course is located off the coast of Miami on Key Biscayne, Florida. It is the only public course on Key Biscayne, which is a National Park and has been rated as one of the top 50 public golf courses in the United States. Uniquely routed through a subtropical lagoon, Crandon Park, formerly known as The Links at Key Biscayne, was designed by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, the team responsible for the TPC Woodlands near Houston, Texas. This Championship Course opened in 1972 and was revised and updated by von Hagge in 1993. The narrow fairways funnel through natural mangrove tree-lined bays and lagoons, dangers and hazards that have earned the course reputation as one of the most difficult in Florida. Crandon Park Golf Course has hosted the Champions Tours' (formerly the Senior Tour) "Royal Caribbean Classic" since 1987.
John Anderson has done a wonderful recreation of the course as Crandon Park Golf Course for Links 2001, which can be downloaded from the Links Corner.
